How is a periprosthetic fracture treated?
Periprosthetic fractures of the proximal femur are a serious problem in hip arthroplasty. The reported incidence is 3.5% 20 years after initial implantation and increases with the incidence of joint replacements. Intraoperative fractures are often associated with uncemented stems. More commonly, fra

Do you know the procedure for treating proximal humerus fractures?
Proximal humerus fractures are one of the most common fractures in trauma orthopedics, and most proximal humerus fractures are low-energy osteoporotic fractures in the elderly.Although the majority of proximal humerus fractures can be treated conservatively, 10-15% of fractures still require surgica

Arthroscopic treatment of posterior shoulder instability
Posterior shoulder instability is usually caused by traumatic posterior dislocation or repetitive minimally invasive injury during exercise or other activities, with an annual incidence rate of 4.64 cases per 100000 people per year. Several surgical techniques for the treatment of posterior shoulder

Do you know how to fix a metacarpal fracture?
Metacarpophalangeal fracture is a common fracture in hand trauma, accounting for about 1/4 of the patients with hand trauma. because of the delicate and complex structure of the hand and the fine motor function, the management of hand fractures is far more important and technically complex than the treatment of other long tubular fractures.

Surgical treatment of humeral stem fractures and technical points
Humeral stem fractures (HSF) are relatively common, accounting for approximately 1% to 5% of all fractures. The annual incidence is 13 to 20 per 100,000 people and has been found to increase with age.HSF has a bimodal age distribution, with the first peak occurring in men between 21 and 30 years of

Do you know that? Risk factors and treatment of patellofemoral joint instability in children
Patellofemoral instability (PFI) is common in children's knee joint injuries. PFI is caused by the imbalance of patellar dynamic relationship in femoral trochlear groove. External dislocation of the patella is the extreme of PFI, which is caused by the injury of the medial stabilizer, resulting in the patella hitting the lateral femoral condyle.

Prosthesis position: UKA prosthesis Overhang will bring what consequences?
Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is a surgical alternative to total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for the treatment of unicompartmental osteoarthritis. However, data on the failure rate of UKA show a 7-year survival rate of 74%, which is significantly lower than that of TKA (92%). Although patients' own factors increase the risk of failure, such as younger patients and higher body mass index (BMI) may increase the risk of UKA failure, surgical technical errors have been considered as important risk factors for early failure. In UKA, it is challenging to achieve optimal prosthetic alignment and overhang (overhang). The tibial prosthesis should be sized and implanted in a manner that minimizes soft tissue irritation, and a medial tibial overhang of more than 3 mm has been shown to be a significant risk factor for decreased Oxford Knee Score (OKS) and increased pain. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the overall clinical and imaging outcomes of UKA.

Closed reduction surgery for lower extremity fractures.
Closed reduction is the minimally invasive technique that can be used for stable fractures of extremities with no loss of blood flow, no risk of infection, fast functional recovery, significantly reduced medical costs, and can be used for closed reduction hollow nail and intramedullary pin fixation treatment of various unstable fractures, such as femoral neck fractures, femoral stem fractures, tibiofibular fractures, humeral stem fractures, etc., eliminating the destruction of blood flow by incisional reduction.
