A female patient, 82 years old, with a history of arterial hypertension, presented with left hip pain and inability to bear weight after a fall. Examination confirmed left intertrochanteric fracture.
Closed reduction and fixation with Intertan intramedullary nail was performed. The integrated design and dedicated instrument set facilitated efficient surgery with good reduction and stable fixation.
There were no complications during or after the surgery. The patient started ambulating the next day after surgery and recovered well after the operation.
